Kenyan Diaspora Athletics Club (KDAC) is a registered non-profit athletics club based in Ontario, Canada, founded by former and active Kenyan-Canadian athletes with a passion for sports excellence, community development, and cultural connection.
Kenya is globally recognized for producing some of the world’s greatest distance runners. Inspired by this legacy, KDAC brings the same discipline, resilience, and excellence to communities across Ontario and Canada.
We are more than just a running club; we are a community-centered athletics organization focused on:
- Youth athletics development in Canada
- Running programs for all fitness levels
- Community races and events in Ontario
- Mentorship and leadership development
KDAC serves youth, recreational runners, competitive athletes, and masters athletes, providing a supportive and structured environment for growth and performance.
KDAC was established by a group of passionate Kenyan-Canadian athletes who recognized a gap within the diaspora community, a lack of structured training programs, mentorship, and accessible pathways into competitive athletics.
Many young athletes lacked guidance, while adults seeking organized running programs had limited opportunities within culturally connected environments.
The founders came together with one clear purpose: to give back through athletics.
Having personally benefited from sports through scholarships, mentorship, discipline, and life-changing opportunities, they created KDAC to provide the same transformative experiences to others.
Today, KDAC stands as a bridge between heritage and opportunity, combining Kenyan endurance excellence with Canadian athletic structure to build stronger, more inclusive communities.
